What are the Locomizer Footfall and Destination Flow Data?
The Locomizer Footfall and Destination Flow datasets provide detailed insights into how people move around towns and cities across the UK. Developed through a partnership between HASP and Locomizer, the datasets use anonymised mobile trace data from a representative panel of users to generate indicators of footfall, mobility patterns, and destination flows across 125 UK cities and towns.
The collection includes three complementary datasets:
• Daily Destination Data showing origin-destination flows between locations
• Daily Footfall Data measuring levels of activity and dwell time in specific places
• Hourly Footfall Data providing highly granular information on activity patterns throughout the day
Together, these datasets offer new opportunities to understand how residents, workers, and visitors interact with places, supporting evidence-based decision-making across planning, transport, health, retail, and environmental policy.
