User Guide
Within the platform, users can navigate between datasets using the drop-down menu on the right hand side of the screen. On each page, there are a number of ways to interact with the map:
- Zoom or pan using your mouse or the ‘+’ and ‘-’ buttons available on each page. To find a specific area, type the name, address or postcode in the search bar.
- Click on a shaded area of the map to open a popup showing the values stored for that area
- Click on layers on the lower-left of the screen to toggle them on/off (those with a tick mark) or to switch between the layer displayed (those with a radio button).
- To download a PDF of the current map extent, click the ‘Export map’ button and choose the orientation of the page. Click ‘Print’, and after allowing the document to be created, click on ‘Results’ to see the document listed. It can be opened by clicking on the document name.
- If you wish to view the metadata or download the open data behind the map you are viewing, click on the ‘Download data’ button in the lower left of the screen. This will take you to the relevant record on the HASP catalogue. On the catalogue, click on the ‘Access data’ button, and fill in a short form to download the full dataset
